About

The Spa Complex is unique amongst British venues, not only because of its coastal location on the beautiful South Bay, but also for the variety of facilities housed within the magnificent Victorian building. Specialising in conferences and meetings, the Spa offers a range of excellent facilities, combining modern comfort with the very latest in technology.

The three main conference halls; The Grand Hall, Spa Theatre and Ocean Room, are all equipped with state of the art technical systems. The Spa has the capacity for more than 3000 delegates and an exhibition space of over 1700 m2. This, combined with a range of smaller meeting and function rooms, enables the Spa to accommodate a wide variety of events.

With in-house specialist conference, technical and catering teams, the venue offers a complete conference solution and having welcomed many conferences to the venue the team provides the expertise to ensure that all conferences are delivered to a high standard.

Fully integrated audio/visual systems consisting of digital projectors, full media playback of CD, VCR, DVD, audio or visual recordings, Plasma screens, conference sound systems including lectern mics, table mics and lapel radio mics. Full coverage wireless Internet facility.

Scarborough Spa is where Scarborough's birth as a seaside 'spa' resort first began. An almost accidental discovery of natural spring waters and their  healing properties to minor ailments in the early 17th century, developed Scarborough as a fashionable spa town patronised by the gentry and aristocracy. The Spa as it stands today has been developed over centeries and includes the construction of the Spa footbridge linking the town to the Victorian buildings on south cliff for visitors to stay.
