Hidden in a breathtaking valley, Rievaulx Abbey and its natural surroundings is a feast for the eyes. Fringed by ancient woodlands rich in plant life, the location is a nature-lovers heaven.

You'll walk where monks once trod. Discover why they chose to base themselves deep in the North York Moors away from civilisation. You'll experiment walking in contemplative silence in places - a bit like a monk would have done.

Part of their practise involved being aware of everything around them, including the natural world. They were deeply connected with their environment and held it with reverence. Here's an opportunity to sample a bit of what that might have been like, while immersing yourself in nature.

TICKETS FOR THE ABBEY You can 'add on' tickets to visit the abbey when you book. Prices are: £11 (adults) and £6.60 (teenagers 14 - 17). These are subject to availability. If tickets are not available because the abbey is full, we'll refund you.
