About

Having originally been founded at Goathland in 1892 Whitby Golf Club has been located in this stunning clifftop location between Whitby and Sandsend since 1895. There are wonderful views along the coast between Kettleness and the iconic Whitby Abbey and views inland towards the rolling North York Moors. Where ever you are on the course you are guaranteed a view of the sea!

Whitby Golf Club is easily accessible from the North East via Middlesbrough and from the South and West via Scarborough and York. The course is perfect for visitors as it is neither too long or difficult, but remains a good challenge for the lower handicap golfer. The weather conditions can also provide an interesting, if unexpected, playing partner.

Why not consider membership of this wonderful seaside course? Whitby Golf Club has active Men's, Ladies' and Junior's sections and membership schemes available with a wide range of prices and playing options to allow you to tailor your membership to suit your lifestyle.

If you are thinking about taking up the game of golf we have a comprehensive range of Learn to Play sessions on offer during the spring and summer months. This ranges from free Taster sessions to short 4/5 week courses for Beginner and Improving golfers. Why not come and give it a try?

There are great value green fees available throughout the week with discounted rates all day on Mondays and Twilight rounds available every day. All members and staff at Whitby Golf Club will offer you a warm welcome so why not check out our extensive range of golf and catering packages available to all sizes of groups from individuals through to larger parties.
