About

The Whitby Walking with Heritage Trail features nine of local artist Emma Stothard’s unique life-size sculptures inspired by Whitby’s fishing heritage dotted around Whitby. The trail takes visitors around Whitby  to discover the facinating fishing heritage of the town. From the first skipper in the North East (Dora Walker) to Victorian Photographer; Frank Meadow Sutcliffe.

The Whitby's Walking With Heritage Trail is available on the Love Exploring Mobile App which can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. The app features information provided by the Whitby Civic Society and includes extensive information about each sculpture and facinating facts about the fishing history of Whitby and local points of interest.
