Youth Conservation Residential - Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October

Book Tickets Online

Join our fun and friendly education team for a conservation residential on Mon 24th Oct to Fri 28th Oct 2022.

Our residential includes an action-packed programme of practical conservation tasks in the wonderful surroundings of moorland SSSI and heritage coast of the North York Moors. We hold two residentials a year, one in autumn and the second in summer. You will gain skills in teamwork, resilience, determination and practical work while learning about the environment, habitats and how to look after them.
Previous residentials have seen participants take part in drystone walling, peat depth surveying, path maintenance bug hunting and fossil finding. Those completing The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold level or the Queen's Award can gain the residential sections of the awards.

All participants on the residential work towards the John Muir Discovery Award.
