Pick up your real Christmas Tree from Scampston!

We have been growing Christmas trees for direct sale to the public for decades on our farms at Scampston, near Malton, North Yorkshire, and also at Lowthorpe, near Driffield, East Yorkshire.

Nigel Harrison, our head woodsman, and his team, aim to produce the finest Nordmann Fir, Fraser Fir and Norway Spruce Christmas trees straight from our plantations. They take great pride in their thorough approach to growing and caring for our crop.

Growing takes years of investment, constant skill and careful management to produce a quality Christmas tree. Each foot of growth can take up to two years. Each year the young trees are meticulously hand shaped and pruned in order to encourage the tree to branch and gradually achieve the full appearance of a perfectly proportioned Christmas tree.

When a tree is harvested, another is planted in its place, ensuring the production of our trees is entirely sustainable. Annual members of Scampston Walled Garden are entitled to a 10% discount on their Christmas tree.

COVID-Secure Measures
As we are categorised as a garden centre, we will be opening as scheduled on Saturday 28th November. Our customers can expect queuing systems, social-distancing and extra hygiene measures in place around both our sites at Scampston and Lowthorpe to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe Christmas-tree choosing experience this year.
