One of nine plays specially written to showcase Noel Coward & Gertrude Lawrence in the 1936 production Tonight At 8.30, this “interlude with music”, set in a Northern town’s palace of varieties, features a feuding husband and wife in a corny song-&-dance double-act, in the dying days of music hall.
