Skandals play 2 Tone and Ska + DJ

About

This event is for you if you want a great night out with energy, rhythm and a jumping dance floor!

Skandals are a five-piece ska band from Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby and Scarborough, who play high energy ska in pubs and festivals all over North Yorkshire. They mix covers of Jamaican original ska with 2 Tone classics, some ska punk, and covers of lesser known (but great) recent ska tunes. They are working on a collection of singles of their own original songs.

Supporting them will be J's Revolutionary Ska Hi-Fi, playing the best of a vibrant global music genre with infectious rhythms and captivating beats – and if you look closely you might just spot him in the band as well.

Skandals are: John (drums), Jonny (guitar and vocals), Leathy (vocals), Leni (sax, keyboards and vocals) and Paul (bass)

This gig will take place in Scarborough Market Hall, recently transformed through a £2.7million redevelopment. The Market Hall is a must-visit destination by day for its huge variety of independent shops and stalls, and by night when the bar and café are open and there’s a cracking band on, like Skandals. Get yourselves down there for a great night out!
