The Three Inch Fools present Romeo & Juliet

About

Five actors, with all manner of musical instruments, present an inventive take on Shakespeare’s most famous story, Romeo & Juliet.

This summer, The Three Inch Fools will bring their brand new production of Romeo & Juliet into the great outdoors at some of the most beautiful and historic landmarks in the UK, including Scampston Hall. Prepare for a carnival of passion and imagination, as The Fools present the world’s best-known love story at Scampston Hall.

About the Three Inch Fools
The Three Inch Fools are an innovative touring theatre company acclaimed for their fast-paced and musically driven approach to Shakespeare.

They have built a reputation for staging bold and vibrant productions - a fast-paced, musically-driven style, using all sorts of different instruments, plenty of multi-rolling and many a quick costume change along the way. For each production, we create a completely original musical soundtrack collaborating with rising star composer Stephen Hyde. The Three Inch Fools soundtrack moves between folk music and world music to classical, rock, pop and opera - and everywhere in between!

The Three Inch Fools specialise in bringing Shakespeare to life in innovative and unexpected ways, through bold story-telling and innovative sound-worlds. Their imaginative style is certain to delight and surprise those already familiar with the bard’s plays, and to call out to those who have yet to discover them.

This year The Fools are looking forward to an incredible summer on the road travelling the length and breadth of the UK with their modern take on the traditional touring troupe. The Fools will perform come rain come shine in the great British outdoors at over 100 different venues across the UK - castles, gardens, stately homes, historic barns, National Trust properties, village greens, churches, cathedrals, museums, arts centres, and even a royal residence or two (indeed any place where five actors and an audience can fit!). The Three Inch Fools are in their sixth year of touring, having so far performed at over 150 venues and to almost 50,000 audience members.
