Thornton le Dale

About

We look forward to the 2022 Show which will take place on 3 August and very much hope to see you all there enjoying a 'Great Day Out'!

Fortune seems to favour Thornton le Dale and no matter what the weather is doing around us, a glorious day can be guaranteed at the Show. The Gods have definitely shone upon us in recent years, but no matter, whatever the weather decides to do there is always plenty of entertainment on hand for the entire family.

Thornton le Dale is rightly the most popular show in the locality and considered to be the best and friendliest of the County’s traditional rural shows. The Show is not only the high spot in the annual calendar for locals, but it also acts as the focal point for our many friends throughout the country, and indeed further afield, who return year after year to renew acquaintances on Showday. It is this particular and unique blend of social interaction, which so characterises the Show and gives it its distinctive relaxed, friendly, family atmosphere.
