Group Travel

With lively seaside resorts and quieter coastal retreats blending into serene countryside dotted with picturesque villages and quaint market towns, there is plenty to explore in this glorious stretch of Yorkshire.

Discover a rich heritage, first-class attractions, quality accommodation and a host of top-class eateries. With over 100 miles separating Saltburn to Spurn, there's a completely different experience to be had every day on the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors - making it an ideal destination for your group holiday.

Spend a day at the seaside, on the moors or in nearby Dalby Forest, The Great Yorkshire Forest. Visit historic sites and stately homes, museums and art galleries, check out some of the great visitor attractions, follow in the steps of TV and film heroes or historical figures, or take to the rails...with our help, the possibilities are endless.

There's plenty to entertain groups in the area - whatever their age or interests. The coast is renowned for its varied programme of events and festivals taking place throughout the year, covering heritage, the arts, sport, music, cultural activities and agriculture. We also have great live entertainment on offer every day of the week, meaning you'll be spoilt for choice.

Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby boast premier performance venues, presenting a variety of shows, musicals, comedies and dramas, as well as some of the country's biggest names in the entertainment industry. Scarborough is also home to Europe's largest open air theatre, set in the beautiful Northstead Manor Gardens on the town's North Bay and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to Alan Ayckbourn, the world's most performed living playwright. The wonderful forest setting at Dalby has also played host to a number of top acts, including Plan B, Will Young, Blondie and Paloma Faith.

We do love our more intimate venues too, many of which you can find in the more peaceful Edwardian seaside town of Filey and the picturesque coastal villages dotted up and down this magnificent coastline.

The Yorkshire Coast is also home to some of Europe's favourite parks and gardens, not forgetting our award-winning golden beaches. Learn to surf, take a dragon boat around Peasholm lake, hike across the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds, sample the freshest seafood in cosy coastal restaurants and bistros, take a ride on one of the world’s most popular heritage railways - the Yorkshire Coast has something for everyone!

The council has created a dedicated area for coaches at the eastern end of Valley Road, with space for up to 10 coaches. A coach drop off point is also available on the seafront opposite the Ask restaurant, Sandside. After dropping off coaches MUST be parked off the highway in a designated coach park.

The drop off point for Coaches in Whitby is on Langborne Road outside the Co-op Superstore.

The drop off point for coaches in Filey is West Avenue Car Park.
