Goathland

This bracing moorland village has attracted visitors since the 19th century, but numbers soared following its appearance (as 'Aidensfield') in the television series 'Heartbeat' and its role in the 'Harry Potter' films.
It's fun to arrive on the trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, after which walkers can enjoy lots of local strolls and hikes.

From the North York Moor’s heritage railway station ('Hogsmeade' station from the early Harry Potter films) to Wades Causeway that runs across Wheeldale Moor, you will have many fun filled hours getting to know this little corner of the world. History, Heritage, pubs, restaurants, walks and more…this little town has it all.

This moorland town has pulled in guests since the nineteenth century, yet numbers took off after its appearance (as 'Aidensfield') in the TV arrangement 'Pulse' and its part in the 'Harry Potter' films. It's amusing to touch base on the trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railroad, after which walkers can appreciate loads of neighborhood walks and climbs.
