People have been coming to Scarborough Spa since the 1620s when they were drawn by the healing waters, today they still come to hear their famous Spa orchestra.
Scarborough Spa Orchestra, now in its106th year, is the last remaining seaside orchestra.
Created back in 1912, by Alick Maclean, they held daily concerts in the Grand Hall and Suncourt - performing popular songs of the day such as Viennese waltzes, operettas. The musical tradition has been continued by Musical Directors since Maclean including Max Jaffa between 1960 and 1986.
So kick back and relax in the elegant Sun Court Enclosure: enjoy the best view in town and the very best in light musical entertainment.
