With Plenty to entertain all the family, and of course our canine visitors too, join us for a packed programme of dog themed events.

Main Arena
'Hounds with Hannah' - Hannah from 'Hounds with Hannah' will be conducting Gun Dog displays and Good Citizen displays throughout the day within the Main Arena (please see the timetable on the day for timings). Hannah Winship BCCSDip.AdvCanBhv, please click here to view their website.
Mountain Rescue Search Dogs - Pop along and find out more about the work of the Mountain Rescue Search Dogs. Meet some of the four legged team, both retired and dogs in training, who dedicate their lives to the search and rescue of lost walkers and climbers in the North of England. Enjoy displays from the Mountain Rescue Search Dogs team in the Main Arena (please see the timetable on the day for timings). Please click here to view their website.
Terrier Racing - Your terrier will love the enjoyment of racing against their competitors in our 'have a go' terrier racing heats! Open to any breeds to terrier, the fastest dogs will go forward to a final! Have the chance to enter your dog whatever the breed and see how they get on against the others. Catch the action in the Walled Garden on Saturday and Sunday only (please see the timetable on the day for timings).
Family Zone
Agility Demonstrations and 'Have a go agility' with K9 Aspects and East Yorkshire Agility Club - Be dazzled by the East Yorkshire Agility Club, who will be showcasing their talents and sign your dog up to have a go on the agility course, under the supervision of Lesley Suggitt of K9 Aspects. Lesley and the East Yorkshire Agility Club will be on site from 12noon until 4pm in the Family Zone of the Walled Garden. Please click here to view their website.
Therapy Dogs Nationwide - Why not drop by and meet some of the fury friends and find out more about the work of the Therapy Dogs. You can find them in the Family Zone within the Walled Garden. Please click here to view their website.
Ryedale Dog Rescue will be running a Family Dog Show, with prizes being awarded for 5 categories which are Cutest Pup (under 12 months at 1pm), Most Gorgeous Girl (any female dog at 1.30pm), Most Handsome Fella (any male dog at 2pm), Golden Oldie (any dog over 7 years at 2.30pm), Judges Favourite (open to all, at 3pm) and finally Best in Show (at 4pm).
Enjoy family favourite vintage games in the Walled Garden.
Guide your own dog around Castle Howard's very own circus assault course, can you coach it to the end?
Have a go at Temptation Alley with treats and toys to distract your dog along the way. The aim is for your dog to avoid temptation and come to you without picking up or eating anything!

Lilydog Creations (Saturday) - Lilydog Creations makes items in fleece, designed and handmade by Natalie. From toys to snuggle sacks, treat your dog to a unique creation made especially for them.
Sally Muir & Joanna Osborne - Dog Drawings (Saturday only): A 15 minute drawing of your dog for £40, book on the day to avoid disappointment. Sally & Joanna will also be selling dog books, dog sculptures & other merchandise available on both Saturday & Sunday.
Ask Hannah (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) - Drop in for a chat with Hannah for advice on a range of dog related issues, from puppy and socialisation training, through to the Good Citizen dog scheme and dealing with behavioural issues.
Greyhound Trust (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) - Pop over to see the local branch of national charity dedicated to finding loving family homes for greyhounds after they finish racing.
Dog Groomer - Fur Baby Zoom (Saturday and Sunday) - Holly D'Arcy will be offering a brush through, perfume spritz and paw massage with oils to prevent cracking, with the chance of winning two free dog jogs/walks. Customers quoting 'CASTLEHOWARD' will also receive 50% off their first dog walks!
Ava & Ted's Pet Shop (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) - Supplying 100% natural treats and hampers. Helen owns four huskies and races them all over the UK so knows the importance of keeping dogs fit and healthy. Pop over to see Helen for a chat about nutrition and making an informed choice on good food for your dog.
