Have a great day out at the Bridlington Vegan Festival, a family-friendly event at The Spa, a fantastic venue overlooking the harbour and the beautiful south beach in this lovely resort. Everyone is welcome - vegans and non-vegans alike. There’s a vibrant, friendly, inclusive festival atmosphere.
In the Royal Hall, stalls offer vegan, eco-friendly and ethically-produced products, all made with concern for animals, people and the environment. There are clothes, accessories, jewellery, skin-care products, cosmetics, perfumes, food, household goods, books and unique art and crafts, some created out of found or up-cycled materials. Do your Christmas shopping early, safe in the knowledge that the gifts you purchase haven’t been tested on animals and contain no animal products.
There’s delicious vegan food to choose from for lunch from a range of vegan caterers. You could try a freshly baked vegan pizza, topped with vegan cheese, a tasty vegan quiche or Spanish omelette or maybe a vegan curry, pasty, pie, burger or kebab, all full of tasty, healthy ingredients. For afters there are tempting vegan cakes, desserts and vegan ice-cream.
You can sit and enjoy your lunch while listening to musicians, who’ll be performing on the Royal Hall stage all day. There are entertainers and activities to keep children happy. For the youngest festival visitors there’s a baby and toddler area where they can play.
Join as many of the Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, meditation and other sessions as you wish–they take place in the Bay View Lounge and Harbour Suite. Both rooms have amazing sea views. In the Promenade Bar you can listen to inspirational speakers at talks covering a range of vegan topics. There’s no extra charge for going to the sessions or talks or for having a go at an up-cycling activity, watching a cookery demonstration or getting information, recipes and friendly advice on following a vegan diet and lifestyle.
Treat yourself and relax having one of the holistic therapies on offer, including Reiki, Reflexology, Indian head massage, Thai foot or facial massage, aromatherapy hand massage and crystal chakra balance.
The festival is a not-for-profit event staged by volunteers from the Bridlington Vegan Group. Profits are donated to charities, after funds are set aside towards staging the next festival. Maybe you’re an animal-lover or are concerned for the future of our beautiful planet? If so, the festival is for you! Living by the sea, we see the devastating effect plastic pollution is having on the marine environment so we ask stall holders to avoid non-recyclable plastic packaging and disposables.
Around the world veganism is spreading rapidly as people realise the benefits it brings, to their health, to animal welfare, to the environment and to people. Come to the Bridlington Vegan Festival to discover a compassionate way of living and shopping. See how easy and enjoyable it is to move towards a plant-based diet that is tasty and healthy, stops animal suffering, helps reduce climate change and can provide enough food for everyone in the world.
