ACCESS STATEMENT FOR FAYVAN APARTMENTS Fayvan Apartments are situated in the Royal Crescent on the West Cliff area of Whitby and are only 150 yards from the sea. We are near popular attractions including the children’s paddling pool, boating lake, pitch and put golf course and The Whitby Science Museum. Our aim is to meet the needs of all our guests, but as this is a period building and in a conservation area, access to all apartments is by flights of stairs which would not be suitable to guests with limited mobility. *PLEASE NOTE WE ARE A STRICTLY NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT PRE-ARRIVAL Please advise us of your anticipated time of arrival so we can be sure to be here to welcome you. ARRIVAL & CAR PARKING FACILITIES On arrival we will be here to meet you. There is on-street parking on Crescent Avenue and on the roads around the property. Also there is a pay and display car park at the rear of the property MAIN ENTRANCE, RECEPTION & TICKETING AREA The building is accessed by a flight of seven steps from the pavement, each one roughly six to seven inches in depth. Guests have their own keys to the exterior door which is closed around 11pm each evening, and also have a key to the inner door, as well as their respective apartment key. PUBLIC AREAS - HALL, STAIRS, LANDING, CORRIDORS ETC Apartment 2 is accessed by climbing 2 flights of stairs. Apartment 3 is accessed by climbing 3 flights of stairs. Apartment 4 is accessed by climbing 4 flights of stairs. There is a handrail which goes up all the flights of stairs. RESTAURANT / DINING ROOM, BAR & BAR AREA, TAKE AWAY & CAFE Please see the information blackboard for recommended places to eat out and visit in Whitby. LAUNDRY We have a washer/dryer which is situated in the laundry room between apartment 2 and apartment 3. SHOP The nearest shops can be found either in town itself ( a five minute walk) or at the Parade which is 500 yards along the sea front. LEISURE FACILITIES There is a leisure centre at the rear of the property (five minutes walk away) which offers swimming, badminton, keep fit classes and a range of other sports. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Fayvan is a totally non-smoking building.
