Led by Suzy Graham-Adriani

This course is suitable for anyone with some experience in writing and for those who have attended previous SJT writing courses (including the recent beginners playwriting courses).

You will need to be prepared to share your writing of a new ten-minute play or adapt something you already have in development at the last session.

Professional literary consultant Suzy Graham-Adriani is best known for creating the National Theatre’s Connections Programme. She was responsible for commissioning and developing the first hundred plays and musicals from writers such as Alan Ayckbourn, Bryony Lavery, Dennis Kelly, and Simon Armitage.

On Citizenship, Scenes from Family Life and Totally Over You - Mark Ravenhill wrote:
"None of these plays would have existed if it weren't for Suzy Graham-Adriani. She commissioned all three of them and provided staunch inspiration, support and friendship during the writing and the production process."

Suzy now lives in Saltburn where she continues to work as a Literary Consultant by offering bespoke feedback and, where appropriate, workshopping or organising readings of plays in development or advising on productions of new plays.
